This is the chestnut bread. It is really dark brown but very pretty looking
This is scorfano ( red scorpion fish) this was done as a demo. There were two fish cooked whole with the insides and gills removed. The inside seasoned with salt and pepper and herbs some sea water, This was very good. This fish is about 30 years old. They grow slow and cannot reproduce until they are about 25-30 years.
This is another demo. It is a very ugly Polpo ( octopus). We were told they are supposed to be tough because people like to chew on this type thing sometimes. When in the mood. I WILL NEVER BE IN THE MOOD.
This is the polpo when finished. It does not look bad BUT..... Oh WOW I am glad that is over.Read the next blog. these are just the pictures.

those italian fish sure are ugly !! and i am not and will not be in the chewy polpo mood either. good grief!! the chestnut bread looks great. i had a new adventure yesterday with 8 lbs of persimmons. i learned a lot - like i'm not sure i'll ever do it again. a real pita and i ended up w/only 4 cups of puree. i've always heard how yummy persimmon pudding is. all i can say is it better be good ! i spent so much time getting the puree i didn't have time to make the pudding. it's in the freezer and will be ready when i'm ready ! glad you're still having fun. lu...
